Athlete Recovery Bodywork
Across nearly two decades of practice, Briana has provided bodywork for world-class athletes and Olympic competitors alongside her everyday clients. Sessions draw on PNF stretching, active release technique, and trigger point therapy to support recovery, mobility, and performance, woven together based on what the body needs that day.
Has Briana worked with athletes before?
Yes. Over nearly twenty years, she has worked with world-class athletes and Olympic competitors, in addition to everyday clients managing tension, recovery, and mobility. That experience shapes how she reads the body and prioritizes techniques in a session.
What techniques help with recovery and mobility?
A recovery-focused session may draw on PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) stretching to improve range of motion, active release technique to address adhesions that limit movement, and trigger point therapy to release localized areas of tension that refer pain elsewhere. Fascia unwinding and conscious breathwork are often woven in as well.
How often should athletes get bodywork?
It depends on training load, competition schedule, and how the body is responding, which is exactly what Briana talks through with each client before and during a session rather than applying a fixed schedule. Reach out and describe your training and recovery goals, and she can talk through what makes sense.
Athlete recovery work is part of Briana's single Therapeutic Massage session (90 minutes, $140) — it isn't a separate booking. She blends techniques in the moment, based on what your body needs.
